Holiday Night Fever
When it’s time for the holidays, no one’s cooler than the Claus. So we hired John Travolta to reprise his star-making role from Saturday Night Fever but this time as Santa. In an homage to the movie’s iconic opening scene, Santa struts down the streets of New York, spreading holiday cheer and obviously earning 1.5% cash back with the Capital One Quicksilver card. And watch tha hair! Santa works REAL hard on his hair, ya know?
Directed by Bryan Buckley and shot in the same location where select scenes for the film were originally shot in 1977, we worked to recreate elements of Tony’s Bay Ridge neighborhood in the present day, which included transforming Lenny’s Pizza into Lenny’s Cookies. Even better, we were lucky to get Donna Pescow, who starred as Annette, to make a cameo.
How The Grinch Ruined the Toy Drive
Tasked with injecting some holiday magic into Capital One’s “Easiest Decision” campaign, we called on one of the season’s most beloved, most misanthropic, most…green characters—the Grinch. Just like banking with Capital One is an easy decision, so is keeping the Grinch away from the toys during the holidays.
